Well, the way you ask this I have to figure you have a pellet stove.

In either case you should be aware that the paper you get, even if you get a lot of mail, will not heat your house much.

It's good to burn it when you can, but a lot of it will have those darn plastic windows on it and much of the advertising and magazines will be heavily clay coated so that it won't make very good fuel and will make a lot of ash and play hell with the catalytic if your stove has one.

What you may find highly economical is the use of dried field corn in the pellet stove. Mother Earth News had a great comparison article about it a few years back. You can probably find it in the library.

Hi,

I'm assuming (can't say why) that you live in the UK? If you do then the answer is, I think, fairly easy.

I bought one of these little paper compressing machines some years ago. I found the advertisments for these in the 'Exchange and Mart' which come out every Thursday in England.

A copy of this should produce several companies that sell these.

Hope you're successful...mine worked fine and produced long-burning fuel from the plethora of free newspapers that used to arrive at my door.

Or, like me, you could move to Spain where the need for fuel is not so great?

Cheers,
