They are actually a pretty decent team. I wouldn't be surprised to see them as the NL wild card.

Well look, they have and interesting team, filled with good prospects and players. For example, in the lineup you have the rookie of the year, who I know (I'm dominican), he has played several years in the winter league here and does very well with great velocity, good batting and defense. Also Dan Uggla, who batted more than .280 and more than 100 RBIs, also one of the best young players Miguel Cabrera. In the pictching staff you got yourself a nice and better every year pitcher Dontrelle Willis.
A lot will have todo of how the team gets comfortable with the new manager, because Girardi did a great work with the squad (I was sorry when he got fired, I was in vacations in Miami, and went to a game). But I've been told he's a good professional, and the team is reestructuring again.
So good luck...

I don't see a playoff apperance ipossible. They did much better then I thought they would last year and I see them missing the playoffs but winning 80 or so games. They have a very young team but they aren't quite ready to compete. They will need to wait another year or 2 before they return to the playoffs. They seem to win every 6 years so lets say they win it all in 2009.

wow i think they will do a lot better with Dontrelle Willis, Miguel Cabrera, and young on-the-rise players like Hanley Ramirez, Dan Uggla, and Josh Willingham (not to mention Jeremy Hermidia). I would say about

Same as last year, I guess. They didn't make any improvements to the team, and they lost their manager.

I don't think they will make the playoffs. They might win 75 games.

By now, they're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
