Don't you love it when answerers use your name in their answer?

It seems so personal, like they know you. Even though your name is right on the screen. oh well.

I've never thought of that before, Sarah. don't think I've seen it done more than once or twice and then it was with the suspicion they already knew each other--a certain insider's familiarity you wouldn't get elsewhere.

I guess I've never done it because I already have that feeling when I respond to a question. I feel it's like a personal conversation between the asker and me. I don't think about the others who reply--at least not until it's time to vote! I don't do those with yes/no or a single title of a book or whatever. It seems to me that if you answer a question the other person deserves an explanation for your answer.

Good thought-provoking question!

Yes, Sarah you are right. It does across as more personal. BUT not everyone, uses a name on their avator. (Like me)

I'm guessing your name is Sarah? Hi I'm Johnny.

I guess that only applies to those who use their name on here. Sure I could use my name, but for whatever reason I don't.

If someone said, "Oh 081, blah blah blah..." it just doesn't seem all that personal compared to "Oh Lonna, blah blah blah." lol

But thank you SARAH for asking! ;-)
