If you lie you lie too yourself! Only the individual knows the answer too this and it's within them. Simple fact is lying gets you nowhere I have too justify telling a lie to myself under one criteria and this is would the truth do them harm!!

Of course, and sometimes, lying is nessicary for self preservation.
" who broke the copier?"

".... I have no idea". You just saved a whole heap of trouble from your boss.

But lying isnt a justifyable action when used incorrectly. There is no such thing as a white lie, if you lie, even if its "harmless" you are a liar.
I only lie when i think telling the truth will cause me more grief, self preservation, and yet its STILL lying.

People only justify it as a white lie to allievate themselves from the guilt of being unable to tell the truth about stupid crap.

dont you think if we were all a little more honest with eachother, and stopped perpetuating these white lies, that maybe just maybe, people will be able to actually see their faults and change it? You give them the chance to do so?

I think so, but people wont change being dishonest.

personally, i always lie.

OK though in all seriousness, yes everybody will lie. even if a person doesn't actually flat out lie the may tell a half truths or omit the truth in an attempt to avoid a negative situation. As to if that's OK, that's an opinion you have to come up with for yourself.

I think it depends. I mean some people don't some people do. It depends on whether they can handle the consequences back after lieing so i mean if they can handle the consequences they probably don't lie where as if they can't they will lie so they don't get into trouble.

I would say yes varying degrees of lying. If we were always totally honest there wouldnt be a single soul talking to a single soul. Example your co worker arrives with a hideous outfit on, your first reaction is what is she thinking? Your co worker asks you how do you like my new outfit. Your answer " very nice" We lie to prevent pain to the other, or to avoid an uncomfortable situation. I am talking mostly about white lies.

Sure, it would inhuman not to.. There is a major difference from a little "white" lie to ppl who lie and believe those lies!

BUT a lie, here and there doesn't make you a bad person

IT MAKES YOU HUMAN!!

Yeah but mostly to protect other people but some people do it just to be downright spiteful. But I guess we do it so we don't get in trouble or if someone keeps forcing you to answer a question and they won't like the answer.

I dont bother. but the majority of people do to save face even to cover for others and that is based on the liers loyalty. Shame really its abuse of friendship and loyalty.

isn't that the same as telling the truth (i can't tell the difference nowadays).......and i thought it might be clever to change your question so 'one does every lie'
