It makes me sick to hear, read or see people harming animal's I'm only 18 working part time whilst in college and I'm giving most of my pay check to dog funds e.g./ RSPCA,APAH. An RSPCA women shown me pictures of what people do to dogs e.g./ i seen a picture of a dog with half an ear because someone had cut it off also another dog had its tail axed off for no reason other than people been cruel to animals. I think something should be done to stop so many abandoned, beaten dogs as well as many other animal's and also the government should fund more animal charity's. This is my view, what do you think?

Should something be done to try stop animal cruelty?
Should the government fund to help animal charity?

Please post what you think about Animal cruelty.

Torey S, i agree with you in some ways, the government doesnt have an intrest in funding they say kill them well in spain they do which i feel there is no need to do so, like homeless people or drunks who do not work or pay taxes and expect the world owe them something they are taking up space and doing no good so why not kill them?! it doesnt matter if your human, cat, dog, hamster, lion or a bird ect we all should look after one another we have enough land to open up kennels and give mis treated aminal's a home where they wont get burnt to death or beaten or kicked to death for fun or out of anger! also the money issue on our care is because many people have so much money that charity and free fee's are stuggling e.g. famous people are over payed by speaking some words and dancing around when people like us actually work in some way to help others or create new things ect. Something should be done and not turn a thing like this away!

The government is pro animal cruelty.Google search the "AETA bill".It basically means you can get arrested or prosecuted for causing more than 10,000 dollars in profit loss for any industry invovled using animals, which includes but not limited to leather, fur, meat and dairy. You can be arrested for simply leafleting outside a store that sells fur, protesting(even if it's non-violent),and pretty much anything that can cause profit loss.A vegan girl that was protesting outside of a honeybaked ham store was being watched by the FBI and they tried to prosecute her.(http://pandagon.net/2006/01/27/the-vegan-threat-to-homeland-security/).I believe animal cruelty should be stopped, because it is totally unneeded.

I do a lot of education work and am totally convinced that the future of our planet is in the hands of our young people! You are obviously moved by the plight of these animals. Perhaps you should consider a career that would enable you to be a real voice for the protection of the animals?

Yes, animal cruelty is a horrible thing. But, it's something that happens everyday. It's just reality, that these things happen, and it's horrible. Some law enforcement really try to buckle down on it. But, others just turn their heads.
As with the funding, we can't even fund the proper medical care for our veterans, and such what makes you think the government is willing to help animals?
