The doctor will listen to your lungs, pneumonia can only be diagnosed with an x-ray, but it has a very distinct sound. Unless the doctor hears this sound he probably won't order the x-ray, you might be in side pain from the cold b/c you can strain intercostal muscles from bad colds. I'm sure the doctor will give you all the answers you need.

This may not really help, but my six year old son just got over pneumonia for the first time last month. The doctor did not send him for an x-ray, but was able to hear crackling in his lungs (the sign for pneumonia). She gave him antibiotics for ten days to cure it. Your doctor will be able to give you something to cure it, but I don't think it's 100% necessary to get an x-ray to diagnose it. I hope you feel better.

Diagnosing pneumonia takes an X-ray, but if one is ordered you would a.) be shielded with an apron over your abdomen and b.) one X-ray this far along in pregnancy is not going to hurt the baby.
