I am an American and I did not vote for Bush I tried to get others not to as well. I had several reasons to want Al Gore to be our next President the first time and the second time I did not appreciate the legislature being stacked. I think that we have political corruption in our country, I have personally known of it on small levels even though I was not involved in it.
I think the people that did vote for Bush did so for the wrong reasons and then got trick or treated. But they should have known better really. I think that this will be one of the worst mistakes that Americans will say they made in history, and yet it doesn't really seem to change peoples behaviors or their willingness to try to stop the propaganda or politics in our country or the corruption even today. I don't know?
You don't stack the government no matter what the promises, and you don't allow it to be stacked either. Even if you like everyone of them on one side or the other, we need balance for our constitution to work properly.
Isn't it bad enough that he bold facedly lied to the American people on National television to get us to go into this war? To me it is!

I just love some of these answers. I don't believe that because the press reports that President Bush has a 33% approval rating that somehow most Amercans don't support him. I think there's a whole bunch of people out there that just don't get it.
To answer your question, we don't base our support on what the rest of the world thinks. For instance, most Americans think that Chirac is a total idiot so why do the french support him? Because he's their leader. What part of that don't you get?

Actually, according to the most recent polls, America's support for Bush is at an all-time low, and rightly so.

I don't necessarilly support the man but I support the office he holds.
He is the President of the United States. For that reason I show respect to him. I listen when he talks. I don't automatically assume that everything he says is wrong and that he is intentionally trying to mislead me.
It doesn't matter to me if he is Republican or Democrat. I will show due respect to our President and support him as such unless and until he does something that goes way beyond what I feel is moral and just.

You are generalizing. And while SOME Americans DO support Bush, you will find most that do not. A 33% approval rating says that.
Don't believe all the rhetoric you read on these boards. If you lived in America, have a pulse, and go outside and talk to people once in a while about politics, you would see that people in this country can't wait for Bush to be gone.
Ret if you understand simple grade school math, you would understand that 100-33=67. That means, if he has 33% of the American people supporting the job he is doing, 67% of the people do not. That would lead me to believe that people are not approving of his job, and therefore to not support him.
You sir, are an idiot, much resembling your picture.

In his righteous endevour to free and liberate the entire Muslim Middle East it is suprizing to me that over 1 out of 3 people support him. In a conflict such as this you would think his poll numbers would be far lower. If he succeeds a free and liberated Muslim Middle East would ensure world peace simply to benefit it's global economy.
Oil would become a dwarf in an economy that would prosper 100 fold throughout the world.

The same reason only a hand full supported Churchill before England was attacked, he is right about the mid-east. It may be inconvenient and war is never a good thing but there is a time for it and about 30% of us know that.

Because we do not give a darn as to the world opinion...We do not kiss their butts...they COME TO US FOR HELP...personally I think we give to much aid without support in return...There are to many countries out their with their hands out for our money..yet stab us in the back politically....If you take our money...support us....I am not a Jew..but that is why I like Israel..they at least appreciate the aid we give and support our efforts
