National Institute of Technology Calicut is one of the premier national institutions for technical education in India. Ministry of Human Resource Development accorded Deemed University Status to NIT Calicut in June 2002. NITC is administered by a society registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1960. NIT calicut is located 22kms north east of calicut city..u can reach calicut and proceed towards palayam bus station from where,u would get busses going towards mukkam side...get on one of those busses and fare of the bus ticket is RS.11..the name of the bus stop is REC.or else u can procede to the transport bus station from wer u would get busses to mukkam side and get down at the same bus stop.fare RS.10..u can also catch an auto(RS.175-RS.225-depending on the time of your arrival) or catch a taxi (RS.350-RS.400)or come by a jeep(RS.200)
