1) German Jews were not forthcoming in helping to rebuild Germany after the First World war and in contributing to the reparations imposed on Germany in the Treaty of Versailles.
2) Hitler had just cause in looking to restore Germany's old borders -which accounts for the beginnings of his militarism and annexation of area such as the Rhineland.
3) He correctly identified the threat of Communism and his preemptive strike on Poland and invasion of Russia was designed to counteract this.
4) All wars involve 'collateral' damage and Hitler's annihilation of 6 million Jews has to be placed in context.Leopold of Belgium was directly accountable for the massacre of 10 million + Congolese natives in the 1920s. Even today thousands of innocent civilians are being killed in Iraq.
5) Hitler himself lived life extremely modestly. What he did was not for personal materialistic gain but was done for the good of Germany.
6) Hitler restored the German economy through public works( the building of Autobahns) .He also instigated the Volkswagon (Peoples car) factory and made car ownership affordable to the German people.
7) He encouraged science and medical research.German researchers at the time were the first to identify the risks associated with tobacco smoking- a habit he himself detested.
8) His extremes of action may be attributed to unstable mental health and not to deliberate evil.

-Not that I truly subscribe to all this but at least you have a few points here to defend a highly unenviable platform!!
Good Luck

If the standard rules of court apply, all you need do is establish reasonable doubt.

Doubt that he knew what was REALLY going on. Doubt through others who were more zealous and hid things from him.

Of course, I don't know the body of evidence facing you.

But the whole thing is to make a judge or jury see that he either didn't know or that someone else might have done it and hid it from him.

Adolf Hitler was a member of nazi and THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT HE FOUGHT FOR LABOUR CLASS.the main problem for every country is the poverty and slavery its suffering from.So what do you think is fighing for the betterment of the labour class and indirectly for the country is bad?One of the other thing was that he himself suffered from such starvy situations.
He first asked the president to support him but as he refused to support Hitler he fought alone gathering a great party. What was actually bad of him?Just that for freedom he showed cruelty to the people. But in my point of view it was his killer instinct. In his autobiography 'Main Kamph' his true life is depicted.THE MAIN ASPECT WAS THAT ENGAGING WITH MUSSOLONI MADE HIM MORE CRUEL TO THE PEOPLE.Nothing can we say as his GREATEST fault...

I'm sorry, but you got the short end of the stick when it comes to defending Evil in it's most vile form. The only defense for his actions is ......He was allowed to with no one to stop him. Don't blame anything on God, He gives us the love to make our own choices.. Hilter, chose the choice of evil/satan. In all good conscience what could you possibly say in his defense to justify his actions. The people of the world have spoken and offer no defense.
You might be better off to try and defend those that helped him. They were at least driven by fear and in some cases insanity.
Hitler was NOT insane he was consumed, by a force so great he was unable to stop himself...
Maybe that is the factor to go with...there is no defense.........He was the worst kind of coward.......He KNEW HE WAS WRONG IN HIS ACTIONS........PROOF.......HE COMMITTED SUICIDE, RATHER THAT DEFEND HIMSELF.
I recommend you go to the library to see if the below book is there and then check it out and read it.

Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal
Any student of World War II knows that Adolph Hitler was a complex and demon-ridden man. Victor, a Jewish psychotherapist dealing with personality disorders, argues that Hitler's troubled pathology has never been seriously studied because of fears that he might emerge as a guiltless and even sympathetic victim of forces beyond his control

You have to be joking. The closest I could possibly hope to come to would be the ignorance and blind fear of his countrymen, which did not so much condone his actions as fail to stop him. Seriously, something should be done about any "teacher" who would assign such a debate.

Only way you could go was that he was in a state of war and he was aggressively prosecuting (as opposed to persecuting which would be morally incorrect) all his enemies. You're gonna get in trouble if the opposition gets to the part where they killed little babies by shooting them while their mothers held them.

I don't think there is any defense for his actions, except for his mental illness. You might want to research that.
