1 word: VANITY. a lot of pple just have an ego that they try to match to everything.
while it might not be too bad in the western world, it is plain stupidity in the 3rd world. in a place like nigeria with almost nothing working & high crime & corruption everywhere it is just imbecillic to see some idiots with vanity plates on on very modern & expensive cars........

their called vanity plates for a reason,,, the same reason they have to advertise (unpaid) company logos and names, because it is a status symbol in their materialistc-based clique,,,
