The only risk of your moving to Sharm is getting a sun-burn under the sun while you can't resist leaving the enchanting beach your in. We love and respect tourists and would never put any trouble to annoy them ! This is the Egyptian nature !

i don't know if you are the lady who asked the question before about residency in Egypt i said i would get the info but then this lady changed her id and i couldn't contact her so if you are heres the info if not then maybe you or someone else will find this helpful., this came from an english friend who lives there now.

To be honest you cant really get a residency here not unless you have the minimum of 56000 us dollars in the bank. Also you can get a residents visa but need to be for 5yrs and not leave Egypt in that time.
what we all do is go to the passport office when we get here within a couple of weeks and get a tourist annual visa. It is 94le you need two photos copy of your arrival stamp and photocopy of your photo part and details from your passport.
hope thats helpful.
i think the bigesst problem for your 10 year old is her education. unless you can afford to pay for it to be private. there is also health, you need insurance and its not cheap.
thr best health care is in cairo i understand.

Definitely no risk at all. Egyptains are the most kindest people you will ever meet, they will help when you need any help and they will welcome you very nicely. Believe me you will spend one of your best days in your life in Sharm el Sheikh.

no risk. you're not the first foreigner and certainly not the last to move to sharm el sheikh.

good luck

Beside the normal risks of travelling and using transportation and all this crazy stuff, you have to deal with home sickness and adaptation problems associated with anyone changing his country of residence, for you and your daughters as well.

Sun burns is the main thing. Otherwise you are lucky to live there.
