Help Please. I am just learning Microsoft Access 200 on my own and encountering no end of difficulty.?

In trying to Add Record using a Form in the Design View, I am getting an error message "The Index or Primary Key cannot contain a null Value." How do I get over this problem? A null value from my limited knowledge of Math means "no value" and yet I am inserting a value (as far as I am aware). What do I do? PLEASE HELP.

Indices or primary keys can't be no value or null, otherwise they do not have integrity and have a value for every key.

You probably want to make the primary key field an autonumber type to make it increment automatically.
