Gandhi gave the Indian people a sense of national identity without shedding blood. Gandhi lived by example and apologized when others did wrong things. He brought down a nation through true non-violent techniques and built up his own country to become sustainably independent. So NO Gandhi was Not a Traitor to His People!!!

Yasser Arafat? Yes because he was a totalitarian leader that bred a generation of evil men who have been living in his shadow since his death.

Gandhi was not a mahatma. he used non violence for which thousands of grass root workers were beaten up by police. Only historic record of a national leader of that time leading a procession against lathi charge is that of lala Lajpatrai who died in the beating. There is no record of Gandhi or any other congress leader facing a lathi charge by police. History has been twisted so that congress can remain in power under the auspices of Nehru dynasty. This was also Gandhi's doing. He considered Indian educated strong man Patel and Dr Rajendra prasad as unsuitable for premiere ship. The nation has paid very dearly for the blunders of Gandhi and Nehru.
India today is a struggling democracy with no leader worth the name to get out of the shackles of congress.

Gandhi was a coward, traitor. He was a hypocrite to his own "preaching". He apparently loved Muslims more than his own. Maybe daddy didn't give enough love.
