i'm a filipino but i'm a fan of big brother UK......and the evictions there are being occured live sometime around 8, 9 or 10 pm.....and i've noticed that the sun is still shining although it stated that the time in UK is now 8 or 9 or 10 pm....what do you call that kind of phenomena?....we don't have it in the philippines.......

I'm not a fan of Big Brother, but it's not being shown at the moment. If you're watching it now it must be a recording. During the summer it stay light later than 9pm, so no problem there.

It's because of the tilt of the rotation axis of the Earth. At the latitude of England in the summer the sun will set later than it will at the equator because the northern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun. As you go even further north sunset will be later and later until, for some time during the summer on and north of the Arctic Circle, the sun will not set at all.

I'm afraid I don't understand. It is currently winter time in the UK, and that means that dark falls earlier than average. In the summer daylight hours will be longer than night time hours, then it will be sunny at 8 p.m.
