many people say

when you are 40s you get to 50 faster than from 30s to 40

and

when you are 50s you get to 60 faster than from 40s to 50

is it true? if so why?

I feel maybe its right

. getting older we become busier and more preocuupied with something.

how we can make time flow slower?

in physics its impossible, but in psychology , I guess its possible.

Truly when I was a kid , I played on a play ground until the evening dust It seemed to me at that time time flowed slowlier ,

I am in my 50s and I remember my Grandfather years and years ago when I was about to turn 13 and he took me aside and told me, "son, you are going to be turning a Teenager soon, and one day you will wonder where the time went". I said, "yeah, right" Well it seems that it was only yesterday when he told me that now. I have never forgot that and never will. I also got Custody of my daughter when she was a year old on her Birthday, and I went through hell on Earth trying to raise her and thought that it would be forever before she grew up, AND NOW I have 4 grandchildren, and she is in her 30s. That time also flew by me so fast. Each and every day it seems to pass more quickly now. Hope this gives you an idea of what you are asking.

i just read something about 1 year of a dog's life = 7 years of a human's life is not quite true. actually, in the first two years of a dog's life, they age to around 20, then it slows down, so the average is 7.

to extend this idea to humans, i think humans grow most rapidly through 0-2 years old, then slow down until 11-12, then rapidly increase again until 13-22, slow down again until 40, etc.

Imho, there's not much difference between a 70 and 80 year old person, but a huge difference between 50 and 60.

but if you are talking about perception, it doesn't depend on how old you are. it's about what you are doing.

Time flies by when you start into your 40's. Life gets busier and busier and before you know it you are 60. Should slow down a bit on retirement. I think you must enjoy every moment of your life.

I think its something to do with percentage. When you're 5, a year is 20% of your life, whereas when you're 50, a year is 2% of your life. Time kind of doesn't matter as much

The APPEARANCY is we are BORN we LIVE we DIE. The REALITY is you will grow old to the degree you THINK you must grow old, but there is no rule book as to how long it will take. When you cease to create your identity you could be & chances are, DEAD. For this to happen though there needs to be a gradual decline in ones interest to keep creating their identity. Hence the appearancy is the person 'aged', maybe, but only to the degree that person created it.

When we were kids, we were always waiting or looking forward to something (Summer vacation, Christmas, a certain birthday- because of what we were going to get to do, like get a driver's license or date) and as my Mom used to say: "wishing your life away." But after your 21st birthday, birthdays and holidays aren't that big of a deal, and there's not that much to look forward to that depends on your age, except maybe your insurance rates going down when you turn 25. Maybe that has something to do with it.

When you were a kid you really didn't have a concept of time. It doesn't move any faster when you are in your 40's than it did when you were in your teens or 20's you just weren't concerned with time when you were younger. I think it'd because we think we have an inexhaustible amount of time when we are young.
