We all know that the USA is God's country, we are truly blessed to live in such a great and perfect country. What I'm wondering is since other nations look towards us to provide moral leadership, and also the fact that God is being increasingly hated elsewhere, what can we do to reverse this trend.

Thanks,
Richard from Arlington, TX USA

USA is not God's country. God loves everyone.

No we all do not agree that the USA is God's country, no you are not truly blessed to live in supposedly such a great and perfect country because it isn't. All other nations do not look towards your country to provide moral leadership. There is nothing moral about what the USA have done in the past. They have got involved with a lot of different countries and these countries are wore off because of the USA. You state that God is being increasingly hated elsewhere and what can we do to reverse this trend. God is not a trend. God is a belief. We do not need to do anything. The belief appears to be as strong as ever it was, maybe more so. A lot of people on this planet are depending on this belief.

Great and perfect country??? There is obviously no poverty in America, no racism, no state sanctioned murder, no child molesters, no natural disasters. What other nations are looking to the U.S. for moral leadership except for those facing the end of U.S. weapons? For such a "Godly" nation why do you have so many people that feel the need to carry a gun for protection? The ideals of the U.S. are great in theory but when you look at the history of the U.S., slavery, racial discrimination, it becomes hard to see what is so "Godly" about anything. And who says your "God" is any better/ worse/ or different than other heads of religions? More people have been killed in the name of God than almost everything else combined. You need to get out more, take a good look around, take your rose-coloured glasses off and see the inequalities all around you. If you consider the U.S. a perfect nation, you are wrong. A great nation to be sure, one with some enviable aspirations, but perfect? A moral leader? Never...

I think the biggest problem these lesser nations have is their tendancy to believe these so called "scientists" who keep trying to prove we're all made from monkeys or some such rubbish.

Every right and God fearing person knows that the job of scientists is to use their God given right to develop bigger and better weapons to blow the bejeezus out of anyone who badmouths God - the proper Christian one who hates fags and rag-heads.

What these backward countries need to do is allow the USA to lead the way into the light in a blaze of God's glory, by abandoning these silly notions of a universe being created by a big bang - it's obvious there wasn't a big bang until proper Americans - not those naked Indian types - turned up and started making proper bangs with God's bombs.

If these other countries would just read the bible and listen to superior people like George Dubya, they would see that the American way is God's way and that they should all bow down and be grateful to be allowed to dine on the scraps falling from the table of the great and the good.

Then we could all go and bomb the crap out of the rag-heads, just as God wants us to.

I've just had a horrible thought - what if this wasn't a joke question and you are reading this answer, nodding in aggreement, polishing your gun and fingering your sister?

The fact is America is blessed as it contains all the resources
that it needs to survive if it it became isolationist, in fact this is
a reason why groups around the world are at a lost when they advocate to boycott America! It wouldn't work !
The saying comes from immigrants writing back home !
Having said that I don't agree with that God is hated else where, and giving the fact, that not all is moral about America I I don't think we have the right to pass on moral judgment..
let God be the judge of that !

Well Dick, from 'Troll'ington, TX, USA ;]

Nobody was buying what you were peddling "back home" so you took a little trip? Well, You don't speak for most Texans and certainly not USA citizens. BTW: How's that death penality thing working out in your "perfect" little corner of god's green country called Texas?

And as for trying to further discredit "gwb" with your little posting ... not possible. And the attempt, not really even clever. What's next? Stealing candy from babies?

lol.

Are you a true Christian?. I dont think so because if you were you would know that God is everywhere for everyone and an individual God. America has a good history of Christianity but the bible says in Revelations and Daniel in the last days USA will be given power by the devil to dominate the whole earth and further his agenda in the name of religion. They will kill God's children and force people people to worship the Dragon(devil). Be careful what you wish for. Read the Bible closely

What makes you think that God treats America any better then any other country? Your using you country as a way of saying your religion is better then everyone else because your country is better (in your opinion) then everyone else. Get real, people like you are one of the reasons that people around the world hate Americans. Compared to most of the countries we have everything and are unwilling to share, and when we do it comes at a price they don't want to pay like having to change their religion.

Invade other countries and steal their oil?

Fatten our kids up so we can nearly meet your obesity levels?

Have the lowest average IQ for a developed nation?

I have no idea how any other country will ever be able to match the US's levels of ignorance, so I'm quite happy to stick with you as the title holder of "God's Country"

What an ironic name.... its hilarious- couldn't be further from the truth

That's just the sort of attitude that has got you into the mess you are in. Planet America does not rule the Earth and we do not look to you for moral guidance thank you very much. There are other people out there that know God as Allah and a few other names. You really are up yourself, you should get out (and that means out of the US) more.
