Series are so expensive it isnt funny. Like I would spend money on maybe on scrubs, simpsons, buffy, family guy, drawn together, lost and all that but its like $50 a season... I mean does anyone even buy those?

Yes they are overpriced. I think the some of the reason that they are so expensive is that the actors are getting a cut of the proffits. The networks and studios have fould a way to make more than money. Think of all the money they are making old series that the actors do not have any rights to. Like the old Mash series has no actor comments because they aren't getting any of the money.

Not really if you think about it. You buy a movie DVD and spend anywhere from $15 to $25, for one DVD. A season has 4 to 6 DVD's in it, each with more content than the movie DVD.

Nobody wants to buy them at that price.

It's a bit rich isn't it!

Even OLD seasons of Friends etc are still ridiculously priced.

Do what my fiance does. Subscribe to Netflix, then burn yourself a copy of the dvds you rent. I think the security codes are available on-line. I know it's illegal, but unless you sell copies who's going to know?
