What the hell is Grand Master Flash doing in the ROCK AND ROLL HoF???

I thought it was called the Rock and Roll hall of fame because it housed Rock and Roll artists. So why are Rappers and MCs now being inducted? Doesn't this sound really wrong to anyone else? I'm not knocking Hip Hop or anything, but let the "street entreprenours" create thier own institution. If they are so "ballin" and "bling bling" they should have enough money to do so.

I have a rock band called Create and Destroy. As a rock artist I have thought about this. There is a Country Hall of Fame, and a Rock and Roll Hall of fame. I listen to rap music. If rappers create their own hall of fame, they will be seen as seperatists. But don't most of them have that attitude anyways?

If they are inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame they will be outcasts, because of the name.

I think there should just be a Music Hall of Fame. That way, all "great" artists can be inducted into it. They need to change the name, of the hall of fame or create one seperate for rap music, as they did with country music.

Eminem is not a rock and roll artist. He is a great rap artist. If you were to tell Eminem that was a rock and roll artist, he would say, "what the ****???" Why don't we just say that ozzy is a rap artist, Eminem is rock and roll, whatever.

Words obviously are losing their meaning.

Create a Music Hall of Fame, or a Rap Music Hall of Fame. Or we will continue to see problems.

I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!! I was actually going to write something like that myself, but it seems you've already beaten me to it. I think it's absolutely ridiculous. I don't even know how any silleh rappers can even compare to someone like Van Halen.
