I really enjoyed seeing the answers you received from people who said there were no regrets because they learned from their mistakes but before I learned from the regrets I wish I was allowed "do overs."

My first do over would be that I would have had 2 children instead of one. I was selfish and didn't think how important it would be for my son to have had a sibling.

My second would definitely have been to trust my gut instincts on a man that I thought I could trust and I allowed him to doubt my instincts and they were right.

My third would have been to learn earlier how to follow those instincts alot sooner in my life.

1. Marrying somebody I didn't feel passionate about (although I don't regret the daughter that came out of that marriage);
2. Not having the confidence at a younger age to go to University;
3. Not having the guts to say NO I won't marry you!!

I was going to list three things:

1. Lying
2. Drugs
3. Bad relationships

Then I realised that I have learned from these things and I have learned to never get myself in these situations again.

Therefore I can't regret them, just see them as bad things I have done that are in the past.

1. starting smoking. i think i could have played pro baseball before that.

2. not being in a computer-related field. looking back, i didn't like math, but now I think it was my calling.

3. Choosing this career path. i didn't do enough research to figure out how difficult and unrealistic my ideas were (get an MA, find a cushy community college job)

you shouldnt have regrets. its hard but things happen for a reason and it teaches you a lesson that we are able to learn and grow from. life isnt meant to be perfect! also dont live your life dwelling on the past as you may miss out on something great in the present :)

but if i had to choose it would be not telling someone i love them when i had the chance.

not paying attention when hubby came to me and told me he was unhappy with our sexlife. he told me that he needed more kissing and affection and more sex than twice a month. i was 2 wrapped up in the care of my 2 young babies i ignored him and you know what? i sent him straight into the arms of another woman. a much older fatter uglier woman but she was there for him when i wasnt. thank God he felt remorse after about 2 months (4 times sex) and came to me and confessed and we have since turned to God and counseling to help us save our marriage. i regret not listening to him so much.

There is only one thing I regret doing, and i don't feel like I can share it.

i dont have regrets i have made many mistakes but i have learnt from them and grown as a person from them, regrets can go deep and leave you consumed with bitterness, true believer in positives from negatives its healthier.
