YES!!! I took this job after a lifetime of searching. I spent 18 years in the navy and then worked in food service, nursing, education, sales, investigations, construction. But I couldn't make any money at those in the positions where I could be hired. So, I went back to sea and now have the best job of my life.

I work 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off. I fly to the boat, where ever it happens to be. I am the engineer on an ocean tugboat hauling a petroleum barge. I travel, have a rewarding job, have time off, make a healthy wage and work with GREAT people doing something I love. Some days I find it hard to believe that I really get paid for what I do.

I invite others to join us out there all the time. Some love it, others go back to land jobs. It's not for everybody.

No, it's not the best job I've ever had. I picked it becuse I am still able to take my son to school some days without totally relying on my mum for help. It's only 10 minutes from home and the latest I finish is 1:30pm, so I am able to pick my som up every day. I don't work week-ends. Being a single mum, it's hard to get work that fits in with what is best for you and your child. The hours suit me, even the work itself is not great.

It's not the best job I've ever had, but the best company. I was looking for a job with the company and took the first feasible one. Now I am working my way up.

I took another job, for a few years then transfered to another dept., I like it much better, no shift work, straight hours, weekends, Holidays off. I used to always work Christmas day, it really pissed me off, many times I would get "TRIPLE PAY", how many Christmas's do you get in 1 life time ? Not enough to justify triple pay !, my job is easier now, I do miss the O.T. $ but, not the O.T., I'm outside doing my own thing, by myself all day, PERFECT FOR ME !

Yes, it is the best one I have ever had. I was chosen for it by an old friend after I had changed industries and spent some time working on my own to "prove" myself.

I PICKED IT BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSE TO HOME, AND THE PAY WAS GOOD. IT WAS NOT THE HIGHEST PAYING JOB OFFER I HAD, BUT WHEN I FACTORED IN THE ADDITIONAL FUEL COST AND THE TIME OF THE COMPUTE IT CAME OUT THE BEST. I LIKED THE PEOPLE THAT I WAS TO WORK WITH AND MY IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR AS WELL. I MADE THE CORRECT CHOICE. MONEY IS NOT THE ONLY FACTOR, AS YOU NEED TO HAPPY AT WORK AND FEEL LIKE YOU ARE APPRECIATED.
