my fish is pregnant how long does it take before it has its babies i have had it for 3 weeks

That depends on the fish. Mollies give birth usually after 28 days give or take a few days. Water temps really don't effect when since they give live birth.

Mine actually went 50 days then dropped 22 babies. I have yet to hear of them giving birth to more than 25 (Anything is possiable I guess)

They also can have up to 5 sets of babies with one breeding so if you do not have a male in the tank, do not be suprised if she is still prego and has another batch within a month.

Reading my encyclopedia for fish, I found that Sailfin Mollies drop about 20 to 50 fry every 3-5 weeks at a water temperature of about 64 to 74 degrees.

I have had four batches of babies in the last 6 months from my Sailfin Molly. I would estimate it at about 4 weeks.

many times at 2 weeks into the pregancy the gravid spot will start to grow to be darker and larger and Her abdomen will seem to strengthen greater. on the day of start she could conceal, refuse to consume, her physique would be greater sq. and he or she could chase off different fish
