I would say keep the stroller and take it with you every time till your sure he's ok to walk for more then say 20 mins, yes make him walk but when he's walked enough for his little legs he's gonna want you to pick him up and carry him, not fun, and then there is if your in a rush to get some where and he wont or cant walk fast enough put him in the stroller.

yeah I say when he can walk the mall and not get tired. If he needs breaks from walking then there is no harm from pushing him in the stroller. Fat ladies get to use those power bikes right? I have a 2 year old and he stills needs one. He is still a baby!

I would say 4 years old is a good age to stop, but if he is still small and unable to keep up then a stroller is warranted to carry him around

i think it all depends on what age they learnt to walk.
my eldest son was walking at 10 months, and was out of a stroller a week after his 2nd birthday.
My youngest is 3 in april, and i still use his stroller occasionally, like when i go and see the doctors etc, coz i dont want him running around all over the place! he walks into town (about 10 mins walk) and also to the supermarket (5mins away) and also when i take them to the park etc, but i think its taking him longer to get rid of it coz he didnt start walking until he was just over 2 years old.
Believe me, you will be able to tell when they are ready, them scream like hell when u put them into the stroller!

i started letting my little boy walk when he was 3 1/2 and in nursery. I also had a 21/2 year old to push so if he was tired i put him on the buggy board attached to my buggy. But as soon as hes in nursery then he'l see all the other children walking and will probably want to join them.

As soon as he can walk , train him with short journies first getting longer each time, cut down use of stroller bit by bit to get him used to it. We started yesterday with our 17 month old . My others were walking everywhere by 2 and a half.

Well put it this way, if he can walk then you don't have to keep him in a stroller, unless you are going a long ways, or something like that, I used to just take little tiny strolls walking my daughter, didn't go to far because her little legs got tired fast and sometimes would even have to carry her back.LOL It all depends on how far your going or if you don't mind carring him back or to there....

I believe it all depends on the little guys cuz some babys vary from each other like my nephew in law for example he's more than a year old and he is with out doubt the most active baby i've ever seen and i've seen a lot of babys in my time but my little dude takes the cake, HE JUST CANT STOP!
but like I say some babys vary depending on thier personality as well as the personality they could have inherited.
