I know it's not a mother song, but you could put Tina Turner's You're Simply the Best on your compliation CD. I think it's a great idea that you make a CD for her. Also, think about what tunes she likes the best. I don't know her age group, but I think Abba is a favourite of many mum-like age women.

Anyof them that says 'mama knows best' Like 'mama said there'd be days like this'

I can't remember the other ones, just search Mama on limewire and see if there are any that you recognise

oh! and Mommas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys... it's old and country but should make you laugh

oh and 'momma told me not to come'

oh and 'the perfect fan' by the backstreet boys.. I know they're cheesy but it makes you all happy inside

oh and 'i'm the only hell my momma ever raised' johnny paycheck

Depends on the age of your mum. Neil Reid - Mother of mine came out in 1977. Always made my mum cry.

if you can find a version of "Miss Celie's Blues" with the "sisters" changed to mamas, that could be pretty good. Or you could do it yourself. It's from the movie, The Colour Purple.

Got to be 'No Charge' by J J Barrie. My mum used to burst into this spontaneously whenever I asked for pocket money or a loan. Still does! Nice idea, mind if I pinch it? (Oo, err).
