You should first download videos from Youtube.
Youtube of course won't like that idea, so you should visit sites that in a way do not like Youtube either...

They are called Youtube downloaders... They hack into youtube's system to let you download video files from youtube...

Fire up your search engine and look for "download Youtube" or "youtube downloader" and you'll see a lot of sites offering the service for free.

Here are some of the examples:
http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php
http://video.qooqle.jp/dl/
http://www.youtubex.com/
http://www.techcrunch.com/get-youtube-movie/
...and there's a more out there (just don't know if all of them works fine).

You usually need to enter a Youtube URL somewhere in their page, click on a button, then if it does not let you download instantly it will generate a link or a URL for you to click to download the file.

Youtube's video files are stored in a file format called 'Flash Video File' with a .flv extension. Once you downloaded these files, you can then save it to whatever folder in your pc. However there's a BUT. You cannot play FLV files with your usual media player, they're most of the times incapable.

What you need to do is convert the file from FLV format to another format that your media player, let say winamp, windows media player, or quicktime can play.

That step is beyond the answer to your question, and I think you should see these entry and look for my answer there.

Hi,
To download videos from Yahoo, YouTube and any other site :
Get Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/en-us/firefox/...
And then install the Download Helper extension from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3006/...
It works great for me.

Since the videos are in the .flv format you need to get a flv player. You can get a very good one (and completely free ) here http://www.download.com/flv-player/3000-...
