I had a severly overweight friend tell me some years ago when I was thin that I was too fat to wear a thong....I was so taken aback at the comment that I didn't know how to react.

Why would I care what vulgar things that others say to me? I am the one who is controlling my life and why would I let these idiots to get the better of me. If you have friends like that, then there is no point to be their friend or to talk to them. They are nothing, but a waste of time and space.

My friends don't but I do call myself fat because I am. and my Mum always on my back about losing weight

I think It depends on your personality. They are people who is more sensitive on this subject than others so You had better know who you are dealing with before calling him fat.
