You do know they cut off your nipples and then sew them back on. I saw the operation on a medical show and said "nope, not for me"

I've had two friends that have had breast reduction surgery. They did not regret it for a minute. Back and chest aches and pains went away and they were very thankful for it. It is a great idea if your breasts pose medical problems. Getting a reductions surgery could be better for you in the long run.

It is So worth it! I had it done in Feb of 2006 and had five pounds taken off of my chest. My back and neck and shoulders now LOVE me for it.

I can now spend $6 on sports bras instead of no less than $40 for a decent supportive bra that I had to get special ordered online in order for me to wear. So add S&H to that.

If there is one thing I regret, is that I did not get it done sooner.

Here is a site with more women who have gone through breast reductions: http://www.breasthealthonline.com

Georgia: Not all doctors cut off your nipples (its called a Free Nipple Graft and it does not happen all of the time). My nipples were NOT removed during my surgery, so I can also breastfeed.

In my experience, the women who really needed it were very, very pleased with the result. Breast reduction surgery actually has one of the highest satisfaction rates. If you are having health problems due to your breasts (back pain, breathing trouble, etc.) then talk with your doc. She can set you up with different surgeons so you can interview them.

But, like I said, I've never had a patient regret it. Best of luck.

It should be recommended for women with overwhelming breasts for their size. Doctors do it to help with back pain due to oversized breasts. It may seem crazy but up front weight removed can ease back pain greatly in a small sized women with large breasts.
