The weather seems normal here.

We had some very mild days in January. Then we had some bitterly cold days in February and March. Come to think of it, this is exactly how things have always been: some really cold days and some mild days.

Some winters are rainier (or snowier) than others. It looks like you've lucked out for the last couple of months, but weren't you Californians the same people who were complaining about record rains and cold back in December?

Do you know what would really be weird? If every day in winter were the same! Not too mild and not too cold, not too rainy and not too dry. I think that would be the really freaky thing!

The weather may be somewhat unusual, but it's probably nowhere near as unusual as you think. People have selective memories, and often forget just how much variation there can be in a season.

As far as wanting "normal" weather, well, you're going to have a hard time finding that. Unless you live in San Diego, I suppose. That's probably as mild and unvarying a place for weather as you'll find in the US. Otherwise, you should just get accustomed to more variation.

People are claiming everywhere that the weather is weird, but if you look at the actual stats, especially historically, things aren't that radically different than times past.

It's all the global warming suggestions popping up in the agenda driven media that's working on people's minds and attitudes.
