in fairness to tottenham in the last 30mins they were tactically outdone...chelsea were playin pall out attack and tottenham were playin 5 accross the invitin them to come at them..tottenham shud have kept berbatov on and got another goal against 3 chelsea defenders..b4 relaxing and thinking it was in the bag..

It was typical of Spurs under Jol - They get themselves into a well deserved lead, then have no idea what to do with it, which ultimately leads to letting teams back into the game. Fair play to Chelsea to stick to it, but I'm afraid it was Spurs' fault for throwing the game away. When it got to 3-1 I said Chelsea would get at least a draw, if not win it. I've seen it time and again with Spurs. Same thing happened against Arsenal in the Carling Cup.
If Spurs knew how to play a match after they take the lead, they would be in the Champions league this season. The amount of games they lead last season but ended up drawing or losing was shocking. They should have had 4th place comfortably.

I agree with Jol's comments about the amount of serious games over the course of several days. I think he should have let go of the attacking mind, and not have tried to get a fourth goal, but should have worked on holding the lead.
By I take Spurs at the Lane 2-1 (again)

This was a matter of experience. We also need to remember that Chelsea have only lost at home to Barcelona and because they were reduced to nine. I was surprised to see Spurs score 3 at half time but not surprise to see Chelsea come back.
Believe it or not Chelsea will go through no matter what score will be as long as the game is still being played.
Thanx!

Both. I was surprised that Spurs were even in the lead and even by 2 goals. I was outside a pub when I heard noise coming from inside and I saw what it was they were shouting for and I saw that Robbie Keane had just scored for Spurs as Then I saw that the scoreline was 1-3 and I was shocked. Then when I got home I caught the closing stages of the match and saw that Chelsea had pulled 1 back then not long later Kalou had scored. I cheered when he scored because then I knew that I wasn't going to feel like a fool saying that Chelsea were going to easily beat Spurs, that was only the equaliser from being 2 down, they nearly lost. I think that Spurs did throw it away but at the same time, Chelsea showed that they've got the best team in England by fighting back. Only shows you 1 thing though, they can't play without John Terry which is sad.

At 3-1 I think Spurs should have killed the game and got a 4th goal. There were so many chances to put a ball in behind the back four for Defoe to run on to, but it just didn't happen.
A the time I thought Chelsea were a bit desperate with their substitues, but give credit to Jose his changes got his side a replay.
Another high scoring game at the lane.

i reckon not getting that fourth (sitter) seemed to deflate spurs . also i reckon when it went 1-3 spurs seemed to panic a little , they were knackered and because of the position they were in thought they had the game wrapped up, they just were not professional enough to handle and hang on . at the lane i think they will have learned a lot and will handle it better . 2-1 spurs.

I dont think Spurs threw it away, more a case of Chelsea throwing everything they had at them in desperation and it paid off. Good luck in the replay.

well a bit of both really. spurs like u said took of two of there best players. mido came in and he didnt really do anything at all.
also chelsea took a risk and had only two defenders on the pitch at the end. luckily for them it paid off.
chelsea's pirority is not the fa cup and i think spurs will be able to scrape a win at home.
good luck
have a nice day

i thought that spurs wanted it more, i also thought chelsea are getting to big for their boots, they think all they have to do is turn up. spurs deserved the win and at the bridge to take that smug look off mourinho's face.
chelsea will start favourites at the lane, but with robinson and keane back i really hope you overturn them, good luck.
