There are alot of them really.

To name a few are;

1) User Editors for creating account.
2) Policy Editors for setting local and domain policies
3) Services used to start and stop services used by the computer.
4) calcs.exe used for adjusting access control tokens for each user.
5) scheduler which is used he schedule task to run at specified times.
6) disk management to mount, change drive letters and such for all of you didk drives.

they have got so many tasks, such as:
you can access to your computer services, and also you can manage your system storage and when you want to share a data source in your system you need an ODBC driver that you can find it there, and when you want a virtual directory for your web site, IIS is a powerfully tool....
