I have no problem with a woman being a driver. I'm not a fan of F1. But, I see no reason a woman couldn't handle one of those cars. After all, european men do it. Should be easy for an American woman.

There are some pretty big biases in F1 not only against women, but also, non european drivers, and some bias even with in Europe. Imagine that the first black driver of F1 history is Lewis Hamilton, 2007 rookie, go figure.

Talking about women in F1, there has been few contestants, amongst I could mention, Lella Lombardi the first woman to race an F1 race. And, Maria Teresa de Fillipis (forgive my spelling, I do not remember the names exactly) who is the only woman to score points on a F1 GP (1/2 point)

Perhaps the push will come from female sponsors that will be interested to go global as F1 is an excellent platform to get products exposed around the world fast. They could push female racing driver careers faster than you say give me a buck.

There are absolutely no rules or laws against women participating in Formula 1 or motor racing of any form.
There is no doubt that a slight sexist situation exists as few team bosses would like to put a female in such a dangerous situation.
But the sad fact, so far, is there is no woman of sufficient speed to make a team and no-one is prepared to put someone slower in as a publicity thing, as a slow car on track is lethal to the front runners. Look at the problems back-markers cause already.
The physicality of the sport causes its own problems.
So... roll on the day when a woman makes F1 on merits.

And I managed to get the whole way through that answer without once degrading women drivers! (I hope!)

Women have particpate, they just couldn't quailify for a race (apart for one woman back in the 1950's [or earlier] at Monaco). Although I think a better way of explaining why there's so few females racing would be DC's sister. She (according to DC) was the better kart driver out of the pair but as she got older she her intrests started to become more femine and there was less room for karting so she dropped it.

I think female drivers in F1 would be good especially if they encourage more girls to take up karting. But at the same time I don't want to discover is that's she done a series of raunchy photos for some men's magazine. Excludeing Piquet Snr's moment of stupidity, I don't recall Schumacher, Senna, Alonso, etc doing anything like that for a woman's magazine.

Also, don't forget female on the engineering side of the sport too. I'm female and I'm currently trying to get the right quailications to get into Oxford Brookes and do their Motorsport Engineering course.

There is no rule that prevents Women competing in a F1 World Championship event. Indeed in the past there has been female drivers, the most successful of which was Italy's Lella Lombardi who entered 17 races, qualified for 12 and finished 6th in the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix, becoming the only female driver to finish in a point-scoring position.

Currently there are two female drivers competing at a high level in motorsport. Britain's Katherine Legge races in the Champ Car World Series and tested a Formula One car in 2005 while USA's Danica Patrick races in the other main American open-wheel racing series, the Indy Racing League. Both however are yet to win a race in their respective championships.

The frequency at which women folk and men persons document for divorce (interior the U. S. a minimum of) is approximately 50/50 with men taking a young majority. It relies upon on age. Many young women that marry as teenage's or in early 1920s, get divorced. If women persons weren't allowed to divorce, there might purely be lots extra men submitting for divorce than there already are. Or abusive relationships without end. some human beings shouldn't in any respect marry.

I don't think there are any rules against women competing in F1. In sports were where women are not allowed play with men it is usually because of the superior pysical strength of men, however I cannot see how this would be an issue in F1.

Why not ! When Women are being trained and are successfully making space odysseys no reason for a women not to drive for F1.
It is physically , emotionally and physiologically very demanding and requires tremendous discipline. As long as you can make the cut why not.

Of course! I think any women who can prove she's fast enough to compete in the series deserves a chance. Racing is never about what gender, race, nationality or even religious preference the driver is; it's purely about skill. Anyone can be a driver, but only a gifted few can be the best, regardless of any physical attributes.

I don't know about that but it is a thing to consider. Mostly men race and a lot of girls do other things. I'm not saying that girls can't race but most people will just say it's not normal. Good point I'll ask my sister if she would like to race when she's older.
