Im currently in 8th grade. I am on the B honoural, and I feel I can do so much better. But since my family problems are distracting me, my concentration level in school decreases. Being smart is a natural thing for most people, but for me it IS NOTTTTTTT EASY, therefore I have to work twice as hard . Since I've matured over the year, education is all I talk about. But luckily Im only in 8th grade, which means I can start fresh in highschool. Meaning I'll find different/better methods for studying and getting things turned in ON time. But lets move on to my questions: (1)how should I study for a test? / (2)how should I make shure all my assignments are turned in on time? / (3)how should i prepare for college? / (4)how should i make shure my grades are good enough to enter TOP colleges? / ECT.

Getting into college:

I've read many blogs about entering Yale/Havard/ECT. I know I'll be volunteering in community groups due to church. I'll also try to join the tennis or volleyball.....

team. I'll also ask to work at my uncles clinic (dentist), or babysit just to get a job experience. Bloggers also talked about being a good talker along with an admirable attitude/personality. Not to boast, but being a good talker is where I come in. Which means, education is my main struggle. I NEED A BETTER STUDYING/TURNING THINGS IN ON TIME METHOD!!!!!!!!

1) read the book (make sure you understand the chapters), study the homework, study the quizes

2) do them EARLY! start them early and finish it. if the paper is due monday morning, dont do it sunday at 8pm. do it 3 days before, even a week if you could. don't be a last minute guy. im a last minute guy myself and it really has taught me several lessons.

3)well, preparing for college is not that easy. for getting into yale or harvard, there are 2 things you basically need to tackle down.
A. your GPA/avg
B. your SAT scores

for A, you basically need to have a high 90's average, and be in the top 5 in your class.

and for B, you need to have a score higher than 1500 out of 1600 (the old test, if they come back), or 2200 out of 2400.

and ofoucrse, you already know you need to have those extracurricular activities like sports, volunteer work, band, partime job, etc.

but the main thing you need to focus on is your OVERALL AVERAGE and your SAT scores.

those are the two most important.
