Basically, i'm selling my house. A local estate is new and not as well know but is offering a good rate of fees. If people mainly use the internet such as www.rightmove.co.uk then them being not very well know doesn't matter.

I'm looking to move in the near future, and correctly using the internet for all my searches.

When the time comes closer I will be going to a particular estate agent (maybe 4 or 5) and registering my details so that they can inform me of the most recent properties on the market.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

I brought my first house about 5 months ago and used rightmove and property finder. i never looked in any of the local papers or called the estate agents. I put my details in to right move and got emailed the houses that suited my specifications. was a lot less hassle than having agents call with houses that were "just outside" my price range.
a friend has also just sold up and found that a lot of people use the web to search.

I have no idea what you're asking. I know that people in the US use the internet a lot because all Realtors can at least put a basic listing of a home for sale on realtor.com But I'm not sure what country you're trying to sell in, so won't know the habits of your citizens.

estate agents don't sell houses.all they do generally is advertise and wait for some response often favouring a property for some personal reason.as your agent is new he will be keen and is probably a better option than a more established complacent agent.also most agents also advertise on the Internet anyway

Yes, nobody puts in thousands of pound via Internet. One needs to visit the property in-person to have a feel of the property. Besides, one would also need to see what the neighbourhood is like. There are several factors to consider before signing on the dotted lines.

Yes, most use rightmove these days, so as long as your agent is on it, you should sell.

Go for the cheaper agent, but don't let them tie you in to a sole agency agreement for more than 8 weeks - just in case they are so cheap because they are inexperienced.

Good luck!
