But if you love freedom, then you should also oppose anything that curtails that freedom. Especially the government curtailing that freedom by breaking our own laws.
So, you can love freedom, and hate the Patriot Act, and love America all at the same time. But you can't do just one of them.

Maybe I miss understood the patriot act. I thought it took freedoms away from American! Then loving freedom and hating the patriot act would be one and the same, No it means you love the principles that this country was based on the Constitution!
I have heard so many people say gee I am not doing anything wrong so who cares. Well here are some facts if I or anyone else was doing something wrong we would have be questioned by the FBI. Therefore just because I hate the constitution being cut up slowly doesn't mean I have something to hide. It means I love my Country and the principles it is based on. Further more how can the government sit here and spy on our mail, internet surfing, phone calls yet they haven't blocked the Mexican Border. If illegals can come through those borders so can terrorist!! Seem to me the government thinks it's Americans that are terrorist after all we are the ones being spyed on!

I also wish that Bush didn't do away with Habeous Corpus (Military Commissions Act of 2006) and the Geneva Convention agreement. Kinda makes me sad for what my country is turning into.
