A medical transcriptionist listen to dictated recordings made by physicians and other health care professionals and transcribe them into medical reports, correspondence, and other administrative material. To understand and accurately transcribe dictated reports into a format that is clear and comprehensible for the reader, medical transcriptionists must understand medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments. They also must be able to translate medical jargon and abbreviations into their expanded forms.

Medical Records Technicians are usually responsible for the filing of all medical records (such as x-rays, doctor's orders, prescription copies, surgical reports).

Hope this helps!

medical documents clerk, is just one that has had as much as a pair of three hundred and sixty 5 days or a 300 and sixty 5 days and a nil.5 of school. FOr a technician software that's from a million a million/2 to 2 years of school. The responsibilities are plenty much less with the Clerk than with the technician.

A medical transcriptionist's main function is to simply take the doctor's verbal and/or handwritten notes and transfer them onto paper.

But a medical records technician is the one who sets-up and maintains patient files, similar to an administrative assistant in the business world.
