Firts the U. S. isnt going to nuke Iran as immediately as we are waiting to overcome them with exact-customary weapons and Iran is many years removed from making nukes as properly they're in straight forward terms beginning the recommendations-set. North Korea in the event that they have been nuked might desire to coach around an nuke the two s korea or japan or the two once you talk approximately that they have got already have been given aound 6 weapons in accordance to inteligence.

Firts the US isnt going to nuke Iran when we can beat them with conventional weapons and Iran is a few years away from making nukes anyway they are just starting the process. North Korea if they were nuked could turn around an nuke either s korea or japan or both since they already have aound 6 weapons according to inteligence.

N. Korea does not deserve to be attacked.

They are only doing what we would do under the same circumstances.

In Dec 2002, Bush removed the USA from the ABT treaty then declared N.Korea was on his axis of evil along with Iran and Iraq. He then, against UN recommendation, invaded Iraq.

N.Korea announced in 2003 it was leaving the NPT after seeing this threat.

Who can blame them...

No....The US is holding back because of China. They are the big brother that North Korea relies on to get out of the trouble Kim Jung Il starts. China and the US have a relationship that is dysfunctional at times, but both depend on the other for a strong economic relationship. I like the line about oil...it does make sense with this administration.

North Korea is powerful player in world politics with Russia at its back. Thus, the US cannot just attack North Korea that easy unlike what it did to Iran and Afghanistan.

Bush and chenney and everyone keeps threatening to do somethign about IRAN, but it wouldnt be feasible.

Our military is too short strung right now, we couldnt handle another front to be fought especially when we dont have anyone that would back us on a fight with IRAN, AND since many coutnries are leaving IRAQ altogether, or downsizing their troop numbers.

More than anything, I think IRAN is being used as a diversion for efforts on IRAQ. Lets keepadding more and more..lets pretend we're going to take action against Iran, so pople will focus more on that then Iraq's progress, or lack thereof.

Lets ask for 8200 more troops on Saturday just past, so that people will lose sight of the 20,000 surge that was sent, and being sent in.

North Korea has more soldiers, and thats a serious threat.
We couldnt even if we wanted to do anything about N.Korea.
Our military is already outnumbered by them, and especially now, we're too committed to Afganistan and IRAq.

Heck when our military is letting anyone in, and not giving them the ttraining they should be getting, just more interested in body numbers than qualified troops, that tels you in order to do anything against anyone else, we would have to instate a draft.

President bush would be committing suicide if he took action against another country. Cut off completely. All his war time efforts down the tubes, and with his popularity at such a low, impeachment proceedings would begin swiftly for taking action against another coutnry.

So, its all political strategy.

Kinda clever if you think about it.

But I keep saying bush is that uncle that already owes you money and keeps asking formore, even though you know he wont pay you, and he knows you know he wont pay you back.
The sad truth about this funnytopic is 80 american soldiers die every month we stay in IRAQ.
And bush an republicans dont seem to care much, and keep blocking democrat progression efforts -- or threaten to filibuster any proposals

Nan,

I think you're missing the point. I'm willing to bet that you're with the camp that insists that the U.S. launched an assault against Iraq without first giving diplomacy a try. I won't bore you and others...a quick Google search will reveal the myriads of U.N. resolutions handed to Iraq. Ex-despot S. Hussein unilaterally decided the fate of his power and the future of his country.

I would like to see the rock you've been hiding under...the U.S. has been diligent in their diplomatic efforts with both Iran and N. Korea. If Kim Jung-Il proves to be smarter by coming to the table instead of risking further escalations, it only proves that diplomatic efforts are worth the trllions of dollars we (U.S.) spend on diplomacy.

You DO understand that some will rattle their sabres and will WANT to fight...don't you?

Shame on 'em. That why we have top-notch armed forces.

But see, there is no risk that North Korea has nuclear weapons. They've confirmed it. They're a known danger.

We only attack where there is a risk of danger.

North Korea could nuke Japan and would not need much provocation to do it. Do you feel lucky?
