Truthfully I feel sorry for whoever gets in office regardless of political affiliation. As a democrat I am hoping and praying for a strong Democratic president, however I feel that there is currently NOBODY who can successfully clean up the mess Bush is leaving without causing a mess themselves as well. Whoever does get elected has a tough job ahead of them, and they better have some major strength because everybody's against the United States anymore.

But no, I don't think we can handle another Republican president, because we don't need this current mess to get any bigger than it is already. If it gets much better, nobody and I mean NOBODY will ever be able to fix it. We're getting way too close to ruin for comfort to be completely honest.

The funny thing is though, Bush has brainwashed people into believing Iraq was a threat, then brought up big Gay marriage issues when we started getting smart and realizing we were in the wrong place to get our attention off of it. We have done all we can in Iraq, and the people responsible for 9/11 were from Afghanistan. We need out of this mess badly. I mean if you remember Katrina, we couldn't even take care of our own citizens along the Gulf because we were more concerned about rebuilding Iraq. Because of that, HOW MANY people died in New Orleans? We need to take care of OURSELVES FIRST. Otherwise we're going to get attacked on our own soil with absolutely no defense because all of our troops are rebuilding Iraq or have been killed there.

American foreign relations is at an all-time low.

The American people are outraged with the current scandals in the Republican Party.

Only a masochist would vote for a Republican president at this time...

yes, due to the fact the next repulican president may have different foriegn and domestic policies. Alot of canidates even though they are in the same party have different agenda's. That and quite frankly the average US citizen isnt really concerned with what the world thinks of us.

The US and the world survived the Republican President who fought against terrorism. Another Republican President will do the same and the world will be free from terrorists.

In my humble opinion the Republican party is what KEPT the country standing the past few years. Let's say we never invaded Iraq or Afghanistan. Where do you think we'd be today? Yes you could say that several thousand servicemen and women would still be alive, but I think not. We'd get hit again and again resulting in more death. The people we fight DON"T LIKE US. And they don't think anyone else but them deserves the right to breath.
