Just wondering if you have the spelling correct.
I'm a nurse and have had a look in my BNF (drug dictionary if you like) and the closest I found was Ephedrine which is a stimulant a little like caffeine I suppose but with a little more oomph.
The side affects mentioned in my BNF are:
Nausea, Vomiting, anorexia,
Tachycardia (fast heartbeat),
sometimes Brachycardia (slow heartbeat),
Arrhythmias (irregular heart beat), Anginal pain,
Vasoconstriction with hypertension (narrowing of blood vessels with high blood pressure),
Vasodilation with hypotension (blood vessels becoming wider with low blood pressure), Dizziness, Dyspnoea (serious lung heart and lung disease), headaches, anxiety, restlessness, confusion, psychoses, insomnia, tremor, difficulty in urinating, urinary retention, sweating, hypersalivation, changes in blood-glucose concentration
To name but a few!!
You should ask your boyfriend to see his GP to get it sorted they can be addictive.
Below are a couple of websites for you to look on. If you want to see more do a google search with the spelling I used.
Good luck

Even using advanced medical sites I could not find a drug or supplement with this spelling. Suggest you check and re-post.
