Wrestling has had it's share of bad times, especially recently with the loss of so many before their time due to drugs and steroids. But in your mind what is the saddest moment in wrestling History.

A) Death of Owen Hart in the ring after a fall from the rafters in Kansas City Missourri at a WWF/E event at a time when he was finally stepping out of his brother's shadow.

B) Death of David Von Erich and the subsequent series of tragedies that followed the Von Erich family and WCCW, that slowly killed the hottest wrestling promotion on the planet in the mid 80's.

C) Death of Eddie Guerrero followed by the heartless exploitation at the hands of World Wrestling Entertainment after finally overcoming all of his troubles with drugs and alcohol.

Or maybe there is another dadder story in the history of professional wrestling. Well now is your chance to speak up about it.

I think that Owen Hart's death was the most tragic, due to the fact that he wanted to stop being on the road in 2000, to have more time for his children. He did not die because of roids or drugs, he died because of McMahon's greed. He hired people to do the stunt who just weren't able to do that, because they were cheap. I was 13 years old when Owen died, and it changed me.
But all wrestler's deaths are sad. Most of them die because of drugs, and I think its mainly McMahon's responsibility to stop it. And as you are a wrestling fan who really seems to care for the wrestlers, I'd like you to answer my question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Als3dsQ3o_yA6E8H.9psSBnsy6IX?qid=20070308084912AAuEN6X

The World Class story is by far the saddest although most fans probably dont even know it anymore. Eddie and Owen's deaths were horrible, but in Dallas you literally had several popular guys cut down in their primes in the span of a few years all in a row. It would be like WWE losing all their big names during the attitude era due to tragedy. Wrestling in Dallas just became too painful to watch and the tragedies just wouldn't stop coming even after World Class was over. It soured me on wrestling for many years.

Id have to say the Von Erich Family is the saddest story in wrestling. One brother dies young then three others commit suicide. That's a sad story.
Some you didn't mention are Sid Vicious, Lex & Miss Elizabeth. Sid is such a sad sight to see nowdays, you can tell the guy is hooked on pain killers after that horible leg break against Stiener. The whol Lex Lugger, Miss Elizabeth stroy surrounding her suspicous death is sad.

All of those are very sad, my heart goes out to their families. The saddest for me was when Shawn Michaels lost his heart. If you haven't read his book yet, you should it was very good. He spills his heart out. I wish that Vince would go back to the old story lines. He is making the show so cheesy now. I only watch the parts that my favorite wrestlers are on. I know that you men enjoy seeing them women in hardly nothing out there wrestling (NOT WRESTLING), but I think its an insult to womens sports. Look at the women boxers, they put on a better show than some of the men. Vince is the reason why the ratings are down. Quit being a pervert and get back to A** KICKING!!!

First of all I would like to wish well the families of those men, and I agree with you that those all are terrible moments. Of those three, I would say the Von Erichs, for the simple fact that three men died, not to undermine Eddie and Owen, but that is my choice. Excellent Question, and I would just like to let the world know that so many wrestlers have died before 60 years old, please do not do drugs.

Their are to many to name:

1)I think it is sad how Vince McMahon makes fun of stereotypes and exploit these behaviors on national television.

2)Like the whole Guerrero thing I think is just wrong. They made Rey Mysterio win the world titile just because Eddie died.

3)I think it is sad that WWE has failed to realize the talent Owen hart has and still the would not give him a spot in the WWE hall of fame.

I'll say the death of Owen Hart. That was an awful way to go out, especially in front of all of those fans. It's not a good expirience for anyone.

i say the death of owen hart. eddie was a tragedy but his wife was not under any sort of contract and i think she new what was ok and what was not. when they crossed the line with the story she left. owen hart was jsut a flat our tragedy and it completely chaged the face of wrestling forever. but all you have mentioned will be missed. it is one of the sad truths of pro wrestling that many of them die to early. i think the biggest ever though was the death of Ms. Elizabeth. and i hope Lex Luger rots in hell for his part in her death.
