I am gay for the same reason I have blue eyes. Do you see me trying to force teenage boys to wear blue contact lens?

What you describe Yu Yevon, is an issue of self-awareness. I'm addressing the idea that homophobes spread the prejudice that gay men try to 'recruit' young teenage boys into being gay - which is ridiculous.

I know many gay guys who claim that they can seduce a straight guy simply by getting him drunk.

The reference to your eye color and whether we "see you" trying to force teenage boys to wear blue contact lenses is rather irrelevant.

I know of very few gay men who try to seduce teenage boys. But I hear all the time about straight men who do it. So I guess it is the straights that the homophobes need to put a little bit more concentration on preventing from molesting the kids!

There is no converting of sexuality, you either are gay or hetro. The only ones I see trying to convert small and teenage boys are some ministers and scout leaders who more often than not have wives and family. Relax..... they gotta blame someone. P.S. to those who will jump up and down at what I just wrote , I said some!.

You are 100% right. If those homophobs have even the slightest amount of brain wave activity they would know that 95% of the child molesters including teens are straight men

Please don't misunderstand me when I say this, (this goes for everybody)....Many gay people are born gays, but some straight people either choose, or get confused into thinking their gay/bi.

I know many Gays will give me thumbs down for saying this because many of you have been hurt by homophobes who ignorantly believe that you all choose to be gay. I'm not saying you choose anything. For those of you who are truly born gay, that is what you were born to be. But what I;m saying is that some straight people actually do choose to live the gay lifestyle, or get confused into it.

Some gay guys do try to confuse bicurious or sexually confused people to think their gay. I'm not saying ALL gays do that, I'm just saying that it happens, probably rarely, but it happens. Some do that because they believe "hey, if your curious about homosexuality, then you must be trying to get out of the closet like I did, why else are you curious?" When in actuality, the confused boy for example may actually be straight, but simply confused.

Gays who dismiss the fact that some straight or even bisexual people get confused or even chooses to live a Gay lifestyle, don't see the real problem that some of these people have. For some of these confused boys for example, the real problem and question is, why are they questioning their sexuality? Which ones are truly born Gay and realy looking to get out of the closet, and which ones are really striaght but confused?

I think questions like that shouldn't be dismissed as, "oh you just choose to be Gay", or "oh, your born gay, you just don't know it", because then the confusion in peoples sexualities continues. & sexuality in society continues to go on misunderstood.

EDIT: Wow, I guess who ever gave me thumbs down believes that no one ever chooses to live the Gay lifestyle. To believe that means no gay people live the straight lifestyle. And this person must believe being Gay means being better than human because they believe no Gay people ever help confuse some folks into thinking their gay. Clearly not all gay people are perfect saints. Some people do have their own agenda because their human. But hey, I like thinking realistically while some others think with corrupt emotions.

Just Ask Ashley - Oh. I never heard of people spreading rumors of Gays recuiting people to be Gay.

yes yes yes. I agree with you so much. If someone is gay, they're gay. Straight, they're straight! Sheesh.

It also bugs me how some people think that just because someone of the same gender is gay, they are automatically hitting on them. Every guy I see is NOT hitting on me, now why would every single lesbian want to?

Its homophobes way of trying to make gay people sound bad. Like homophobes making jokes about gay's, thinking its acceptable and funny to knock who we are.
I hate these people too!!!

i agree with you all the way. They have to blame someone for it to be easier for gay teens to come out in this day and time. We don't need to recruit anybody.

Much like the "snake oil salesmen" of the 1800's who claimed that they magic cure for all illness in a bottle.

I agree. Gay people dont try to convert anyone. If anyone tries to convert it is the sick religious.
