Go to Club Paradise in Palawan, Philippines. It's a perfect hideaway for those who seek both relaxation and discovery.

Less crowd. No vendors. Safe.

You can even request to book yourself in one of the small uninhabited islands nearby and have your own private picnic and do some snokling for a day.

There are many inexpensive places in Asia to go for summer vacation. Some great spots include Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand. I've had friends who have stayed in some wonderful 5-star quality resorts for very little money in Bali and I myself have traveled to several locations in Thailand and Philippines. Thailand has many more cultural and tourist friendly locations. The food is generally very good and Thai massage (need I say more) is relaxing and inexpensive. The down side to Thailand for me is that it is sometimes difficult to find a lot of English speaking new friends. The Philippines, on the other hand, is not quite as ready for tourism, but is full of English speaking Filipinos who often seem pleased to help you at every corner. I have been to many locations around the country. My personal favorite is Samar, but it is somewhat primitive and might be a little too rugged for you unless you like that and have a guide who knows the area.

My suggesting for you is El Nido, Palawan, Philippines. It is a beautiful tropical island with fantastic beaches. There are many places that are still not too crowded. It will not be ulra cheap, but it will be clean and beautiful. There are some hotels online, but I don't want you to think I'm advertising, so you can just look it up on your own.

First of all, where are you from? Summer in the Philippines is from March to May. If I am not mistaken in the US, summer is around August? Give us more details to work on. Do you like beaches? What type of accommodations would you prefer? How affordable is affordable? 20 US Dollars a night? Do you prefer a quiet night or a full night life?

I would suggest Palau. It contains one of the world's best diving grounds. From what I understand, it was once US territory, but have since gained independence. It's not in Asia per se, but in Micronesia. Palau is listed by National Geographic as one of the 50 Places of a Lifetime.

if you want to travel then its the philippines. i have to agree with someone, saying that its a great place. there is not much foreigners here because of the bad news coming from here. but the whole country is basically peaceful. people are nice and alot of them can speak and understand english. try puerto galera in mindoro province. its the best. also try palawan island and bohol, or cebu even davao city. if you want shopping then go to ortigas center, in pasig city, metro manila or the greenhills

I will suggest you to go to the Philippines, especially Ilocos Sur. It has many beaches and resorts to choose from. You'll see historical sites and you'll be like going back to the past. There is also a place here called "BALUARTE" where there are wild animals, it is owned by Luis "Chavit" Singon. There are also delicious and tasty delicacies in Ilocos Sur. The "Marcha's Delicacies", "Tongsons", "Lagasca" and many more places to buy sweets. If you are a sport lover, especially if you passion badminton, you can go to a huge Badminton Court in Bantay, also a part of Ilocos Sur.If you're a shopaholic, there are the "Plaza Maestro", "JTC MALL", "Luisa Trading", "Maria Trading" and "Mart 1" to buy the things you want. Now if you willingly want to come in here you are graciously WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some islands of the Philippines, Thailand & Bali.
But just expect that some of those islands are crowded especially on summer & don't go to some areas that have rebels or something. Good luck! (--,)
