For everyone who saw 300: I thought it was bad*ss, how bout you?
For those of you who haven't: WHY THE HELL NOT?

Writer, i must know if you have seen the movie. I too am an Historian and knew the story well before seeing the movie but thought it was great all the same. While maybe not a completely accurate representation, this movie did not upset me in the least.

"These 300 men are my personal bodyguards. I feel like taking a stroll. Probably to the North"

Fabulous movie! Inspiring! It made me want to go home and lift weights, LOL!

But, seriously, the pace was good, the acting was fine (nothing to write to the Academy Awards about but good, nonetheless).

Both my boyfriend and I liked it and he's into action. He loved the war scenes, they were good and gory. I loved the beauty of the scenes, the sets, the costumes, it was like paintings come to life...

I want a "Men of 300" calendar for Christmas!

I didn't like it much.
Firstly, it had an unbelievable amount of extermely good special effects. The actors were passionate(I guess). It was very stylish and beautifully shot, but....
This movie had no soul.
It was a huge, sweaty, testosterone laden conglomerate of every battle movie ever made. Even the hunch back traitor looked like Gollum from Lord of the Rings.
There was lots of shouting, and battle cries, but no heart.
It was like some huge, overblown WWF wrestling spectacle, complete with spandex panties and hairy chests. No love, No drama, Nothing but battle sequences. I love history, and I am very familiar with the story (Battle of Thermopylae). The only thing they considered changing was the fighting styles(to make it more exciting). They never thought to give this movie some depth, and soul. The dialog was just ridiculous, and whoever played Xerxes should never act in a film again. Where the hell did they find him? He was terrible. The movie didn't suck, it will keep you entertained, but just like Pan's Labyrinth, I thought it was going to be so much better

I went and saw it, and I loved it. It had me on the edge of my seat every second of the two hours, and I could not be distracted. The ending surprised me, even though it lead up to it the entire time.

And Xerxes looked like Julia Roberts with no hair and I couldnt get past it.

I saw it just earlier tonight, and LOVED it! I love that everything was exaggerated, because that's how mythologies are created. I think I gasped audibly when the Queen grabbed the sword and stabbed that guy at the council meeting. BAD@$$ movie!

Easily one of the best "epics" ever.

Sin City + Braveheart + Bowflex commercial = 300

I thought it was an amazing movie! People who are upset about the historical inaccuracies are just looking for something to b*tch about. It's a graphic novel movie, not a history lesson.
LOVED IT!!

its actually a surprise tome that its made so much money and gotten so many good reviews.
Some of the dialogue points in the trailer make is sound cheesy.

A friend of mine said its one of those where the trailer pretty much shows all the best parts of it. I studied history, I already know the story anyway.
