Or is it only your corner of the world that is of any interest to you.

yes, home and the wider world should all concern us, however, I am aware that some people have a life that is such a struggle, they can only think of survival of them and their family. That alone clouds all other issues

My concern is for the well being, success and long term future of the United Kingdom and its people. My view of all other issues is from this perspective.

I regard over population as the fundamental problem of the world and this is the cause of most environmental and many social problems. From the domestic problems of unaffordable housing and grid-locked traffic to global warming and the destruction of the rain forests, the problem is too many people.

The failure of any Western government to address this problem is due to the control exercised by big business that relies on growing masses of people spending money to fund ever increasing turnover and profit. This is the greatest example of pyramid selling ever carried out and will lead to a miserable existence for the majority of the population.

The impact that the media has on the world affects me. Most of the things they report on are biased and not telling off the entire truth! Its really ridiculous. Especially about the global warming thing. It is a theory for goodness sake. They are making it a religion..

direct issues that are close to me. my little island in B.C....i don't pay attention to the outside world a whole lot...not because i don't care, but it's not my thing. sure i care about the planet, i recycle, and don t own a car blah blah, but am i really gonna make a frickin difference 10 years from now?? probably not.

both, of course im interested in my own issues, but it intrigues me when i hear of someone half way around the world with a completely different life with completely different issues and i ask myself how i would deal with it
