I am on the pill and my cycle is always identical every month. I have always been quite forgetful with my pill and we have never had "accidents", if you know what I mean. We have 2 kids already and do not plan on having any more. Basically without confusing you with dates, I missed a pill we had sex, at the time I should have been ovulating then about 4 days later I started to bleed, very lightly and only lasting a couple of hours. Could this be implantation bleeding? I never had it with my pregnancies and I am aware that it usually occures about 10 days after but my cycle is so like clockwork nothing like this ever happens normally? I am not due on until next weekend. What do you think?

I know I sound like I am making a big deal over nothing and you are all probably right but I am so terrified by the thought of another baby! I am deffo considering another form of contraception.

PS Granny Murray if you are reading this- do not tell Nick for F**k sake!!

It's most likely a small bleed from fluctuating hormones from your missed pill, however there is a possibility that it's an implantation bleed.

You don't state whether you're on the mini pill or combined pill...the combined pill actually works by stopping ovulation, so if missed it is possible that you will ovulate (due to hormone changes) but if it's just one pill the chances are small (but not impossible)

I would suggest taking a pregnancy test before starting your next pack, just to be sure.

Sounds like you need to talk to your Dr. about another type of birth control. I have the same problem, I just can't seem to remember to take the darn thing, so I went to the vaginal ring (you insert it for 3 weeks and then take it out for week to have your period).
As for the bleeding, it's probably just due to the missed pill.

It is most likely just a result of fluctuating hormones from the drop brought on by missing the pill.
(Note, the pill does not PREVENT conception it only makes the uterine wall a hostel environment so the fertilized egg will not attach..)

Missing one pill is not enough to cause pregnancy. If you only missed one pill in that pack that you are not pregnant.
