Hi Babes!

Yes. Every planet has night. Even a hypothetical planet in a multiple star system will have some time when it's on the dark side.

Every planet faces the sun on one side while facing away on the opposite. The opposite-facing-side is called "night."

Even if a planet were locked on the sun in its rotation, the way the moon is relative to the earth, there would obviously have to be an opposite side forever facing away. Astronomers once thought Mercury was like that, but later found otherwise.

On Mars, the solar day is 24 hours 39 1/2 minutes long, only a bit longer than earth's, but it does quickly get out of sync, as space scientists quickly find out.

On Venus, the solar day is 116 3/4 earth days long, and the sun seems to move backward, rising in the west and setting nearly two months later in the east. Then a two-month night!
