Depends on what you mean by alarm. If you mean the stop switch (which also makes the alarm go off), you will force the elevator to come to a abrupt stop. Doing this will either cause the elevator to relearn where in the shaft it is, or it will be lost and you will be stuck inside of the elevator.

My advice is to leave it be.

On the other hand, if you are talking about pushing the alarm button, all that will happen is an alarm will sound.

Tempted? I am like a cat and have to know what everything is and what it does. So yes, I did it. The elevators comes to an halt and a very loud beeping goes on. I hit the button again and the beep stopped and the elevator started again.

I've been compulsively tempted to pull the alarm lever. Same for the on campus police emergency phones, but I'm just too pansy!

yes and i never did it. I think the elevator stops, then a rescue squad come or something. Either that, or a plate full of cookies pops out to console you. Try you luck next time you find one lol!

Yeah I have been tempted, but no I didn't do it. What if it stopped and I was trapped there for hours?

Did press the red button on the escalator though( And it stopped). Does that count?

Staring at the alarm you wonder, however the thought that I would have to repay the fire department for the trip of coming out to reset it makes me think twice.

No, I always wanted to do it the movie theater. That would be a riot.

I used to deliver medication to a nursing home and there was this guy that was always pulling it! It was hilarious. He would laugh the entire time.
