I HEARD THAT nORTH kOREA DOESN'T HAVE MUCH RESOURCES, SO THEY THREATEND TO SEND OUT A NUKE, IN RESPONSE U.S.A. GAVE NORTH KOREA A COUPLE THOUSAND BARRELS OF OIL, CAUSING OUR GAS PRICES TO SOAR. IS THIS TRUE??

Too many countries around the world are producing and exporting oil for N Korea to have significant impact.

Right now, if memory serves, OPEC voted to cut production slightly and that kicked prices up a notch worldwide.

We might have sent them oil and some other aids as part of negotiations in previous years. But China is main energy source for North Koreans. After recent nuke test in N Korea Chinese cut off fuel supply to N Koreans. That's why N Korea returned to talks with US and others, backing down a little with tough talks.

We don't give North Koreans enough oils to impact our prices though. Relatively insignificant amount if we do.

No. Money grubbers in the US are to blame. They shut down gas plants for "repairs", then raise the prices so "consumers will be forced to buy less gas and thereby not putting the US in a gas shortage due to one or two less plants unable to produce the gas."

My thoughts on it.
