My first pregnancy was a doddle too, no sickness, heartburn anything I hardly felt pregnant and she was a girl. This time im having a boy and the first 12 weeks were unbearable. I had sickness 24/7 heartburn i caught every bug going. I am now 30 weeks i don't have the sickness anymore but I'm a damn sight more uncomfortable than i was with my first. I don't think it has anything to do with the sex of the child i just think your body just reacts more differently with each pregnancy. Good luck I'm nearly there now lol x

Hi i have had 5 children and my first three pregnancies were all great then my fourth was a nightmare,as you said i suffered everything from sickness backache, wind, constipation etc my first three were indeed boys and my fourth was a girl i then carried number 5 well and that was another boy, cannot guarantee this will be a girl for you but i definatley carried differently. As for the sickness eat dry toast or ginger biscuits first thing in the morning and ginger biscuits whenever you feel nauseaus it worked for me and eased the symptoms and it should pass in the next few weeks good luck and hope you feel better soon and that you have a healthy and happy 27 weeks . emma

I'm pregnant now with my second, and it is totally different from my first. Ive had sickness, backache, implantation bleed, sore boobs the lot. On my first pregnancy i had nothing, the only way i knew i was pregnant was an obvious missed period. I have a little girl so i would like a boy, but as long as the baby is healthy i don't mind. Congrats on your pregnancy and good luck

I know lots of ladies who have had a worse time with their second pregnancy than their first. It doesn't seem to have been related to the sex of the child. Gender differentiation does not occur until later on in pregnancy, so there is no reason why having a boy or girl would cause more or less morning sickness.

My first 2 pregnancies were really easy at first(no morning sickness) but I had gallstones near the end with the first and kidney stones near the end with second. This time I'm sick all the time and feel terrible. Maybe I won't be sick at the end this time. I have one girl and one boy so I guess it doesn't matter.

Both my pregnancies were good, no morning sickness felt pretty good. Both were BOYS! I have heard of people who were sicker with different sexes. This very well could be a girl!
Interested in how this turns out. Good luck and hope you are feeling better soon!

I have 2 boys. 1st preg was fine, no probs. 2nd preg was complete opposite. That made me think that I was having a girl but it turned out to be another bloody boy!! I would have loved a little girl. I am going to presume that you want a girl but like me, say things like, "as long as it's health I dont mind what sex it is". Well Mummy, I really hope you get a little girl. Good luck with the pregnancy. xxx

My pregnancies were similar (on my 4th) apart from the sickness. The boys were not so bad but the girls, really really bad sickness, spots etc. I am expecting a girl now and have been really poorly.

Ive had 1 boy and 2 girls.
All my pregnancies and labours were different.
When i was pregnant with my son i vomitted once thats it. With my 2nd (my first daughter) i was in bed for 3mths because i was so crook and i had a really bad back. With my 2nd daughter i was not sick once but my back killed me and so did the rest of my body i ended up in hospital 2 weeks before they deliverd her 3wks early by c-section my other 2 were natural.
