you mean rumors??? you said grandparents, thats their time thats why. How would you know if you give it to wrong person unless if you gone thru it. Virgin--never been touch from your tip of your hair untill tip of your finger. Feeling of not virgin anymore, less shyness i guessed. Regarding if you feel not complete anymore, i dont know, because as far as i am concerned, virginity is not a big issue anymore. What makes me complete is that having someone that truely loves me.Goodluck

I don't know why there is so much importance placed on the little piece of flesh known as the hymen. Frankly, I would think that virginity doesn't really matter. If you love someone would it really matter if they have it or not? As for giving it to the wrong person....it wasn't the virginity that was given...it will always be the memory of your first time being with...."him" or "her". Maybe the memory of the first awesome time should be remembered, because most first times....suck. There is too much emphasis placed on a female's virginity anyway. Do what feels right and be safe, that's my theory.

It depends the country I think.
In western countries, I would say that this word has lost its meaning as boys and girls do it at a young age and will probably change parteners a few times before finding the right one.
In muslim coutries, it has a major importance as woman who are not virgin will be looked down and won't often be able to get married. The religion wants this.
My girlfriend is Chinese and for her it is important. She gave it me and I gave it also to her as it was the first time for both of us. In China too normaly you don't do it before marriage.
I would say that virginity is one of the most precious thing a girl or woman has. It may be a small change for some but not for others. It is a mark of love for some.
