How do I start tracing a death that occured in the philippines?

That depends on what details you have about the person's death. If there was a death certificate issued, it eventually finds its way into the National Statistics Office. But there are a lot of other places to look before that. No matter what the situation, however, it is next to impossible to do it without actually being here to snoop around in person.

Full name, and date the person died then go online and look at the National Census and Statisctic Office. Everyone who died and had a death certificate issued or been recorded at any municipal's office get transfered to NCSO..... either that or contact the Municipal Town Office where that person died under the death/marriage/birth record office.

Well....It depends on your country of residence. I'm pretty sure that there is a Philippines embassy in most of the 'Yahoo' areas. I suggest that you contact the embassy and express your concerns. It is important that you know personal details for the person that you are looking for. E.g. Their Full Name. Date of Birth, Residential Address. If they died while on holiday...You should contact their country of residence and take the matter further with them.
