While driving on Interstate 94 just past Lake Mills, WI my husband and I saw what looked like a huge falling star with a tail. It was extremely bright and looked like it was on fire. But it was was much closer and still daylight. My husband said it had to be at least the size of half a car. It looked like it landed behind a bluff and as we kept driving I was sure I would see something on fire but not knowing where it landed we kept driving.
Last week a small meteorite landed in a woman's house in Illinois so I'm wondering if that is what we saw falling out of the sky today.

Ummm ... that would've been me. I was flying from Watertown to Cambridge. I lit up a smoke in the bathroom, dropped my lighter and started myself on fire. So, rather than risk a major fire on board, they pushed me outta the plane. :(
It's alright, I'm OK ... Just a few minor burns, bumps and bruises. Good thing I hit the Goodyear blimp, on the way down ... broke my fall!! :)
